Building
Shipping this site — kehl.io — after rebuilding it from scratch on Astro 6 and Cloudflare Pages. The Lattice design system is done, the content is in, and the last mile before launch is QA and image pipeline work.
Also deep in NestWeaver — v0.1.0 is shipped with 16-language parsing and cross-file symbol resolution. The MCP server exposes 17+ tools for AI agents. Current focus is the web UI with interactive graph visualization and cross-repo project support.
Savr continues. The "gentle AI" UX model — no streak shame, no unsolicited insights — is proving out. The focus for the next few months is encrypted-at-rest storage and the contextual awareness model that can hold a multi-day arc without building a persistent profile.
Reading
Working through a stack of papers on agentic memory architecture — MemGPT, Letta, and the emerging literature on episodic vs. semantic memory in LLM contexts. These ideas directly inform how NestWeaver's brain feature unifies code and notes into a single knowledge graph.
Also rereading Hamming's "You and Your Research" for the fourth time. Different things land depending on where you are in your work. This time it's the section on courage — working on important problems even when you're not sure you'll succeed.
For fiction: The Ministry for the Future by Kim Stanley Robinson. Slow, dense, urgent.
Learning
Going deeper on Rust for systems work — NestWeaver compiles to a single static binary, and the Tree-sitter parsing plus Personalized PageRank need to be fast and memory-efficient. It's been a steep curve after years in TypeScript and Go, but it's the right tool.
Also spending real time with the Cloudflare Workers and Durable Objects ecosystem. The mental model for stateful edge computing is genuinely different, and I'm convinced there are AI-adjacent use cases that aren't obvious yet.
Traveling
Stationary for the moment — nose down in launch prep. There's something clarifying about a long stretch at home with a good desk and no checked bags. Time compounds differently.
Have a few conference conversations in motion for the second half of the year. Nothing confirmed yet, but if you're organizing something on AI in production or local-first tools, get in touch.
