Kory Kehl
AI Evangelist · Engineer · Builder
About
Kory Kehl is an AI evangelist, engineer, and builder focused on making artificial intelligence actually useful in everyday systems. His work sits at the intersection of local-first AI, open source tooling, and practical engineering—where ideas move beyond demos into production. His core belief is simple: AI should amplify what humans can do, not quietly replace it. Local when it can be, cloud when it must be, and always under your control.
He designs and builds modern applications across web, mobile, and connected devices, with a focus on performance, reliability, and real-world impact. As a co-founder of Shot Insights, he has helped build systems that combine hardware, mobile software, and data to deliver real-time insights to users in the field—reinforcing his focus on taking complex technology from concept to production. He also develops tools like NestWeaver, a code knowledge graph that gives AI agents structured answers about codebases — parsing 16+ languages into queryable graphs instead of forcing agents to read raw source.
Beyond building, Kory actively shares what he's learning—writing, speaking, and working with teams to help them adopt AI in ways that actually stick. He focuses on cutting through the noise to highlight what works, what doesn't, and why many AI implementations fall short. His goal is to help shape a future where AI feels less like a feature and more like a natural extension of the products people use every day.
Why "evangelist"?
Because I believe AI should amplify humans, not replace them. Local when it can be. Cloud when it must be. Yours — always. I spend most of my time making that real — through tools I build, systems I ship, and the writing and talks I use to show other engineers what's actually possible.
